- Implementation of Epilepsy Awareness in the community and workplace
- What is Buccal Midazolam
- How to administer Buccal Midazolam
Purpose
The purpose of the qualification is to develop learners’ knowledge around Epilepsy, how to care for someone with epilepsy and allow learners to become competent in delivering Buccal Midazolam, an emergency rescue medication as per the clients care plan in an emergency situation.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level one in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
The qualification is suitable for learners of 18 years of age and above.
Progression
Successful learners can progress to other qualifications such as:
- Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support (RQF).
- Level 2 Diploma in Care (RQF)
- Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF)
