Purpose

The purpose of the qualification is to develop learners’ knowledge around Epilepsy, how to care for someone with epilepsy.

The course aims to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of epilepsy, including its types, causes, and the impact on individuals’ lives. It is designed to equip healthcare professionals, caregivers, and educators with the knowledge and skills needed to support those living with epilepsy effectively. The course covers recognising symptoms, managing seizures, and creating supportive environments, ultimately fostering a more informed and compassionate approach to epilepsy care and advocacy.

Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level one in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
The qualification is suitable for learners of 16 years of age and above.
