• The learner can demonstrate how to prepare the feed
• The learner can discuss different feeding techniques
• The learner can discuss how they will care for the tubes and the person they care for.
• The learner will know what to look out for
• The learner can describe how they will handle adverse situations
• The learner can identify:
  • NasoGastric Feed Tubes (NG)
  • Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy Tube (PEG)
  • Buttons
  • Jejunostomies (JEJ / G-JEJ)

Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level one in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
The qualification is suitable for learners of 16 years of age and above.
